If you are thinking evolution, keep in mind that a single mutation could not account for the amount of information in the brain of the puffer to permit this feat. For one, mutations are deleterious in that they disrupt existing genetic information. Two, it would take innumerable genetic and biochemical steps to create the behavior and the body capabilities.
This is not to mention attempting to account for the will to perform this laborious task.
Functional complexity, free will, and the trillions of bits of atomic and biochemical information in living organisms demand an intelligent creator.
