The idea that humans are immortal has been with us since the beginning of recorded history. With the rise of science and technology, and the increasing secularization of the world, the idea has become less fashionable. After all, if materialism and evolution are correct in arguing that we are nothing more than moving mounds of atoms, then we are no more special than any other conglomeration of chemicals. Rocks eventually turn to dust, therefore so must we--or so the reasoning goes.
But, as I spend some 700 scientifically referenced pages proving in Solving The Big Questions As If Thinking Matters, both materialism and evolution are clearly wrong. Not only are these concepts irrational, they are unscientific.
If one can clear one's mind from materialistic, evolutionary, and religious presuppositions and dogma, and just look at the evidence and use reasoning, it will become clear that we are something other than the atoms of which we are composed. Such conclusions have nothing to do with our fear of death or perhaps a desire to be immortal. They are forced by logic and evidence--if one will dare to put aside things that ruin and stultify the mind, like "belief," and "faith."
The following videos show just some of such evidence to consider. Although essentially hidden from mainstream public view, many scientists have studied phenomena such as the unusual talents of children that cannot be explained by learning or genetics. They have also revealed cases of very young (just beginning to speak) children speaking in languages other than that of the parents, even in tongues no longer used anywhere in the world. Some are born with scars that the children describe as being caused by events in a "previous life." Where possible, historical confirmations occur.
Guess what. You just may be an immortal person. Whether you "believe" it or not will not change the fact if it is true. I dare you to read my book and not walk away understanding that you are more than protoplasm, and that you have a very specific purpose in this life.
