America is broken. Not its Constitutional ideas, but the betrayal and distortion of those ideas.

In effect, the Constitution is king. All subjects, particularly politicians and judges, must be loyal to it.
 
Ignoring this king, politicians spend most of their ingenuity and time chasing reelection, pandering to lobbyists and special interests, avoiding controversy, and figuring out how to enrich themselves.
 
Judges have become a special-interest lawyer class, many tenured for life, focused on their power and own interests, not fealty to the Constitution and justice.
 
Our Constitution king is effete, if not doomed if we keep allowing politicians and judges to play the system. It can thrive if we fix the incentives that govern political and legal behavior.
 
Without real accountability or loyalty to foundational Constitutional king laws and principles, a democratic republic decays into an oligarchy—a system controlled by a connected and wealthy few.
 
Here are some obvious and easy fixes:
 
1. One Term Only — No Reelection
Politicians and judges should serve only one four-year term (or less). No distraction of reelection for reelection, no long-term scheming, no favors gained or owed.
 
2. Campaign Spending Caps
All candidates should be allowed to spend no more than a fixed, modest amount—say, $20,000—on campaigns. This levels the playing field and reduces media influence, wealthy donors, and lobbyists. It gives regular citizens a fighting chance.
 
3. Constitution Literacy and Enforcement
Candidates must pass a Constitution literacy test. Violation of its principles while in office means removal.
 
4. Minimum Age Requirement
Candidates should be at least 35 years old, the time it takes for the rational part of the brain to develop. This ensures some maturity and life experience before making decisions that impact millions.
 
5. Abolish Lobbyists
Lobbying is legalized bribery. It buys influence and drowns out the voice of the Constitution.
 
6. Real-World Experience
Politicians must have experience in the private sector, earned a living outside politics, and paid taxes. No career politicians disconnected from how real Americans live and work.
 
7. Net Worth Caps
Elected officials cannot leave office with a higher net worth than when they entered. Nor can their net worth dramatically increase after leaving due to favors granted while in office. No lucrative book deals, consulting gigs, or lobbying jobs as payback for favors. Public service should not be a pathway to private fortune.
 
8. Salary and Perks
Politicians should receive a salary and perks (if any) set by public vote. They don't get to vote on their own pay.
 
9. Transparent Platforms
All candidates must post their platforms on a free public medium. This guarantees transparency and equal access to their ideas.
 
10. Independent Ethics Oversight
Create a truly independent body with term limits and investigative power. Its job: root out political and judicial misconduct, enforce Constitutional standards, and impose real financial or criminal penalties.
 
11. Voter Qualification
Voters must be able to speak and read English and pass a basic test on the Constitution. If you can’t understand the system or its founding principles, you shouldn’t be choosing its leaders.
 
12. Judge Qualification
Judges must have singular US citizenship and the ability to pass a comprehensive test on the Constitution and Founding Documents.
 
13. Free Court Access for Citizens
All citizens should have free and equal access to a fair hearing in court, with or without a lawyer.
America doesn't need more laws, it needs enforcement of the ones based on the Constitution.
 
It doesn't need more leaders, it needs public servants who serve under the Constitution, not above it.
