FORWARD
The accepted cosmogony/cosmology (origin and nature of the universe) belief is:
A Big Bang of nothing created an infinite meaningless universe containing atomic dust that gravitationally accreted into heavenly bodies including our Earthball moving in several different directions at 2.8 million mph and holding an atmosphere next to the vacuum of space while spontaneously forming life from primeval sludge that then evolved into complicated rocks called humans with no free will.
Long ago it became clear to me that the materialistic evolutionary part of that credo was false.
But I was on board with the cosmology part. After all, we see rocket ships going to and fro, there is a "Space Force," pictures of Earth and planets abound, astronauts float around and in the International Space Station, thousands of people and billions of dollars support it, and, of course, "all" the experts believe.
To question this is to be a conspiracy theorist, misinformationist, or even a lunatic. Oh my, we must, after all, follow the crowd.
The idea that we are being lied to about space didn't even enter my mind until a few months ago when what was left of my naive and trusting innocence had been totally demolished with the COVID-19 fraud.
We, the crowd, extend our trust to institutions charged with looking after our interests. But government, Big Medicine, education, media, industry, Big Tech, science, and NASA chase money, their own security, and even power over us.
That should not inspire confidence in beliefs they create, promote, protect with censorship, and even demand acceptance of.
If we want truth, we have to find it ourselves. To do that requires the opposite of trusting in others. It means sleuthing what the powers that be try to hide from us in internet archives, banned videos, censored "disinformation," and what "fact checkers" say isn't so.
Probing into the subject I was stunned to learn that:
That means unproven beliefs, stories, and even fakery are being passed off as science and truth.
This subject may seem inconsequential to everyday life. But that's only true if we aren't being lied to about it. If the truth is being hidden from us, we can be sure of one thing, it's not being done for our benefit.
Truth seekers learn that the scale and ostentatiousness of lies being fed to us means nothing can be tacitly trusted.
Everything of importance from government, media, industry, medicine, education, economics, science, history, religion, and popular society must be assumed to be false unless we prove otherwise by doing our homework and thinking critically.
This series will provide wake-up information to help you discover lies as big as the universe.

PART 1 | BIOLOGICAL NUT, BOLT, GEAR, ROTOR, MOLECULAR, AND ATOM MACHINES
Let's say you were strolling on the beach looking for nice seashells and came across a set of perfectly intermeshing gears. You looked to the side, and there was also a bolt with a nut screwed onto it. Beside that was a rotary mechanism. You'd conclude the obvious, that some intelligent person made them. And you wouldn't be alone. Any person on the planet would conclude the same. Archeologists and anthropologists finding even crudely chipped stones conclude that such artifacts are the product of intelligence. The Oldowan stone tools found in Africa are an example. If that's the obvious conclusion about chipped stones, there could be no other conclusion if we found gears, nuts, bolts, and rotors. Here are gears wired to a neural circuit, muscles, brain, optics, and all of the other paraphernalia found in living creatures. Billions of components all interconnected in a machine that is not just thousands, but millions of years old. This tiny plant hopper insect-machine, one-tenth of an inch long, can bullet skyward faster than the eye can see and accelerate in 2 milliseconds to 400 g's, more than 20 times what the human body can withstand without tearing apart. The gears are located in the hip of the Issus and, in 1/300,000th of a second, synchronize the legs for the jump. Unlike kangaroos and us, where neural feedback loops permit coordination of the jump, the Issus' jump occurs faster than the six milliseconds it takes for nerve transmission to and from the brain. Thus, the need to lock the legs with gears so the insect doesn't spiral out of control. It is only in the young molts of the Issus machine that the hip gears are found. In the adult version, another design in its program takes over whereby the gears are gone, and the legs lock together as occurs in other jumping insects. In other words, the Issus has not only one jumping mechanism, but two. Gears, as we know them, were not invented until the genius of the Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler in the 18th century. So, there must have been genius that invented the Issus gears millions of years before. BACTERIAL ROTORS The bacterium, E. coli, is just one cell, but it contains many machines. A remarkable one that gives it locomotion is the flagellum, a whip-like strand that propels the organism through liquid. To describe this mechanism, terms must be used that are identical to those used by engineers: reversible rotary motor (acid-driven at 20,000 revolutions per minute), flexible coupling, universal joint, propeller, stator, and bushing. Like with gears, humans didn't invent such mechanical elements of machines until the 1800s. Their creation was heralded as genius and gave rise to electric motors, helicopters, and other machines propelling the Industrial Revolution. None of these great accomplishments has ever been attributed to anything other than great intelligence. The same rotor elements existed in bacteria 3.5 billion years ago. Nothing less than great intelligence can account for them. NUTS AND BOLTS Then there's the nuts and bolts in the Trigonopterus oblongus weevil legs. Instead of the ball and socket like we have for our hip-leg joint, the weevil has a bolt-screw on the leg that seats into a nut-thread in the hip. Technically, the coxa is the thread, and the trochanter is the screw. This weevil nut-and-bolt mechanism locks the legs and stabilizes the beetle for certain feeding actions when moved to the extreme of the thread in one direction, and then frees up for walking when unscrewed. Nuts and bolts weren't invented and integrated into machines until about 1500 CE. The weevil machine is dated at 100 million years old. If intelligent humans had to invent nuts and bolts, intelligence a hundred million years ago would have been required to invent the beetle's leg machine. No step-by-step biochemical evolutionary progression can be proven. Nor is there even one observed example of any machine anywhere at any time coming into existence spontaneously. (The fact that such machinery comes into existence each time an organism reproduces, is a reflection of the preexisting information and engineering of the parents. That parental engineering and information cannot be proven to arise by spontaneous evolutionary processes.) Keep in mind as you look at these mechanisms, or any other part of any living organism, even a single cell, that they are comprised of trillions of integrated biochemical machine components constantly moving about at blinding speed. It cannot be proven that these components came to be, step-by-step. BIOCHEMICAL MACHINES The following diagram represents a snapshot fraction of the dynamics of what goes on in a minuscule bit of living tissue-biochemical gears, nuts, bolts, and rotors within and upon interlinked mechanism after mechanism. No part of which can exist on its own. Biochemical knowledge, as reflected in such drawings of chemical pathways, is an incomplete snapshot of present incomplete knowledge and does not reflect the dynamics and speed of what actually happens second by second in living tissue. The trillions of complex machine-like interactions occurring at lightning speed every second for life to happen are incomprehensible. Nevertheless, all such machines and mechanisms are thought by evolutionists to have arisen spontaneously. For example, this is the headline from an article about Issus gears in Scientific American: "Working Gears Evolved in Plant-Hopping Insect" Popular Mechanics states that the Issus "evolved its acrobatic prowess because it needs to flee dangerous situations . . . there's been enormous evolutionary pressure to become faster and faster, and jump further and further away." Similar quotes can be found for the bacterial rotor and for the weevil's nuts and bolts. No detailed genetic or biochemical mechanisms and pathways are provided for how this evolution over time could occur. No fossils are provided showing the incremental development. No experiments. Not even an attempt at actual proof. Instead, there are just statements of faith about how gear, nut, bolt, rotor, and biochemical machines magically appeared because they were needed for evolution. But if someone else says intelligence is responsible, even when intelligent design is clearly written all over life's gears, rotors, nuts, bolts, and millions of other mechanisms, that's supposedly absurd. THE TAKEAWAY
PART 2 | RNA
Proteins are critical for structure, enzymes, transport, signaling, and nearly every function in life. They are comprised of long strings of amino acids laid out in a very specific order. Amino acids come both from the food we eat and from their synthesis by the body. The sequence of amino acids in proteins causes them to fold into very specific shapes which dictate their function in the body. A ribosome is a tiny but essential molecular machine found in all living cells. Each of the 37 trillion cells in the human body has millions of these. Its main job is to build proteins by reading the instructions from our DNA that is carried to it by messenger RNA (mRNA). Ribosomes then link together the appropriate amino acids in the correct order to form proteins. Ribosomes are like 3D printers or an automated factory assembly line. They require instructions from DNA, just like a 3D printer has a digital geometric code (G-code) and a fused depositional modeling (FDM-code) program. A factory has computer aided design (CAD) software blueprints. Using another form of RNA, transfer RNA (tRNA), along with enzymes and chaperone proteins, ribosomes produce millions of proteins per day, precisely folding them into precise functional shapes. Cells don't rely on just one ribosome per mRNA. Instead, many ribosomes can latch onto a single mRNA strand at once, forming a polysome. That way, dozens of identical proteins can be produced simultaneously from one mRNA message. The whole process, from DNA to finished protein, is animated here. The ribosome protein factory/3D printer is a complex functional machine: Code driven. Just like human software requires a pre-existing digital programming code, the ribosome follows a pre-defined genetic code. Interdependence. The ribosome-RNA-protein machine parts are interdependent. Ribosomes require preexistent DNA and proteins, yet DNA and proteins require ribosomes and proteins to exist. Efficiency. The ribosome machine is faster and more efficient than any human-made assembly line. The ribosome machine and its cellular matrix puts to shame any human made machine by being:
Atheists, evolutionists, and modern cosmologists teach us that the ribosome comes to be by chance and the action of natural laws. Yet there is no empirical evidence or scientific experimentation via the scientific method providing proof. That makes their claims pseudoscience, fake science. There also isn't a person on Earth that could see a complex functional machine and conclude it was not made by intelligence. Nor has there ever been a sighting or discovery of a machine that arose by chance or any other natural process. LOGICAL SYLLOGISM:
This conclusion has nothing to do with man-made religions and their man-made gods. THE RIBOSOME: THE CELLULAR 3D PRINTER Why It Points to Intelligent Causation: β Code-Driven - Just like human software requires a pre-existing programming language, the ribosome follows a pre-defined genetic code. β Interdependence - Ribosomes cannot function without pre-existing DNA and proteins, yet DNA and proteins need ribosomes to exist. β Manufacturing Efficiency - The ribosome is faster and more efficient than any human-made assembly line. β¦οΈ Inference: Every factory and 3D printer is designed by intelligence. The ribosome, which is vastly superior in efficiency, suggests a far greater intelligence.
PART 3 | ATP MOTORS
Most animal cells contain tiny organelles called mitochondria that may number in the thousands per cell. They contain genetic material and reproduce on their own apart from cellular division. Within them are molecular motors that produce energy within a molecule called ATP. This energy is what drives all the functions of life. The human body contains about thirty trillion cells. Each one uses about 10 million ATP molecules per second. Once the energy is released for our needs, all of it is regenerated in less than a minute drawing energy from the sun stored in the food we eat. In 24 hours, the human body turns over its weight in ATP. If that's not fantastic enough, considering it's all occurring automatically each second as we go about daily life, consider the details. ATP synthase is an enzyme that uses ADP (adenosine diphosphate) and phosphate to catalyze the formation of the energy storage molecule, ATP (adenosine triphosphate). ATP synthase is a molecular machine producing ATP. The overall reaction catalyzed by ATP synthase is: ADP + Pα΅’ + 2HβΊβα΅€β β ATP + HβO + 2HβΊα΅’β The ATP synthase enzyme is a complex of two motors, the ATP-driven Fβ motor and the proton-driven Fβ motor pictured in the above graphic. They rotate in opposite directions. Here are the motors illustrated. The millions of trillions of these motors in the body are rotating at about 350 revolutions per second (21,000 per minute) churning out the ATP energy keeping us alive. See the motors in action here. A more detailed description of the motors and the energetics derived from them can be found here. The staggering complexity of all this and the presence of motors begs the causation question. What could have caused the formation of these machines and motors in the first place? A LOGICAL SYLLOGISM RESULTS:
This conclusion of intelligent causation has nothing to do with man-made religions or their man-made gods and books. In contrast to the logic above, atheism, evolution, and modern cosmology tell us to believe we were formed by chance interaction of atoms derived from a Big Bang of nothing. No proof via the scientific method, empirical evidence, or logic is provided. Just stories, claims, conjectures, and models are proffered up, exactly like man-made religions do.
PART 4 | CARGO TRUCKS
Inside every living cell in your body--as described in my post below--are tiny highways with self-driving delivery trucks moving at 50,000 mph. Why is this stunning evidence of intelligence (not religion) ignored by atheists, evolutionists, and cosmologists? Inside every one of your 37 trillion cells lies a vast internal highway system-a cytoskeleton of hollow microtubules. These microscopic tubes not only maintain the cell's shape but also serve as tracks for transporting essential cargo. The total length of this system in the human body is estimated to be an astonishing 1.8 million miles. Traveling along the tubular highways are two molecular marvels: Kinesin and Dynein. These are molecular motors-microscopic walking machines that haul cargo through the cell with astonishing coordination and at a breathtaking "walking" speed of 50,000 miles per hour. Kinesin walks outward toward the cell membrane; Dynein walks inward toward the nucleus. In each cellular industrial city, they transport vesicles, mitochondria, chromosomes, proteins, mRNA, and more at blinding speed and with unerring efficiency. Without these motors, there would be no neuronal signaling, cell division, intracellular organization, or thousands of other functions-all essential to life itself. These motors run on a fuel called ATP produced from the food we eat. Energy is released from ATP to drive the mechanical movement of these walking machines by a combustion-like process using oxygen from the air we breathe. Similarly, gasoline fuel and oxygen combine to combust in a car engine to release energy powering the motion of the vehicle. Each cell contains up to 100,000 of these motors. And remember, you have 37 trillion cells. The traffic on these microtubule highways races along at speeds exceeding 50,000 miles per hour in every cell, every second, for your entire life. Cargo is carried over long distances without getting lost or colliding with others, despite the apparent randomness and chaos of the cell interior. The microscopic size, precision, efficiency, purpose, and coordination of this affair is staggering. All on autopilot. Requiring no effort or even awareness on our part. Just raw, seamless incomprehensible intelligence, coordination, and purpose. The best scientists can do is explore and attempt to describe, as above, what is going on. But nobody has a clue how it all came to be. Much less can anyone even venture a guess as to what is orchestrating--rail traffic controlling-- the incomprehensible chaos in each cell resulting in the ordered perfection of life itself. CONCLUSION To suggest that such machinery and motors arose by undirected processes like random mutation and natural selection is to abandon rationality. In human experience, purposeful, complex machinery is always the product of intelligent design. No one sees a working engine or robot and concludes it self-assembled by accident. Yet molecular motors are exponentially more sophisticated than anything humans have ever devised. Science should follow the evidence, not beliefs and ideology. Molecular motors demand explanation, not evasion through unsupported claims and vague appeals to time and chance. Molecular machines are not primitive blobs, but nanotechnological marvels. They point unmistakably to a brilliant intelligence behind life, regardless of whether that fits the current academic orthodoxy. Understanding and acknowledging this opens the door to real scientific progress-one grounded in evidence, reason, empiricism, experimentation, and the courage to follow truth wherever it leads. LOGICAL SYLLOGISM:
This conclusion is not about religion. It's not about man-made anthropomorphized deities. It's about reason, evidence, and truth-the kind that's visible to the naked eye and under a microscope revealing functions, precision, and automation no human engineer can even begin to rival.
PART 5 | ATOM MACHINES
Speculations about origins focus primarily on big things like the cosmos and living organisms. Religions have their stories, and so do atheists, cosmologists, and evolutionists. The following takes the matter beyond tired religion vs. science debates and presents the enigma of the cause of the fundamental building blocks of matter itself. THE SMALLEST MATERIAL THING Atoms are the smallest things that can be discerned when matter is peeled away down to its smallest parts. There's hydrogen, carbon, mercury, oxygen, nitrogen ... all told, about 92 naturally occurring atomic elements. (Quanta are smaller than atoms but cannot be defined precisely, so will not be addressed here.) Every atom has a nucleus of protons and neutrons, surrounded by orbiting electrons. The specific number of each particle gives atoms their properties. It also governs the electromagnetic forces that allow atoms to bond, producing molecules like water from hydrogen and oxygen. Beyond nature's combinations, atoms can also be assembled into countless synthetic substances like plastics and pharmaceuticals. ATOMS ARE NOT SIMPLE, NOT EVEN CLOSE Atoms are usually perceived as simple, indivisible units of matter, like building blocks. But they are actually dynamos of moving protons, neutrons, electrons, and energy. ATOMS AND THEIR PARTS EXHIBIT ALL THE CHARACTERISTICS OF MACHINES Machine defined:
Atoms fit every one of these five criteria. ATOM MACHINES UNDERLIE ALL HIGHER-ORDER MACHINES Atoms are enabling machines that make possible all higher-order machines, such as molecules, cells, organs, ecosystems, and industrial products. Both atoms and their higher-order machines they form are information-driven, purposeful, and coordinated. They do not even hint at being random or without purpose. Their complexity cannot be fathomed, not even with the most powerful computers or countless calculations. Yet we are told by mainstream science, education, and media that atoms somehow arose spontaneously from nothing. LETTING REALITY SOLVE THE PROBLEM Nothing cannot do anything, let alone produce intricate machines. Instead, we must look at what we can test, measure, and manipulate: atoms. They are the basis of our material reality and the most logical starting point for understanding origins. MACHINES ARE THE BASIS FOR UNDERSTANDING (Note: The following conclusions have nothing to do with man-made religions or their gods.) Machines do not make themselves; they require intelligence. And all of our experience, observations, science, and reason show that functional machine systems don't spring from nothing or chance; they require a mind to design them. Logic tells us the same thing:
The foundational components of reality-the atoms themselves-cannot be products of blind chance. They are designed machines, fine-tuned and enduring in ways that defy materialistic explanations. Everywhere we look, atom machines reveal purpose and intelligence, not chaos or accident. Any worldview that aims to explain the origin of everything must begin not with the vacuum of empty space, but with the intelligence required to design and sustain atoms and all the higher-order machines they enable. AI AND THE FOUNDER OF QUANTUM PHYSICS CONCUR The above article was sent to Chat GPT asking for its opinion. Its reply: "Thank you. I see exactly what you're aiming for-this is more than an intellectual exercise; it's about exposing assumptions that have gone unquestioned and offering a rational, evidence-based foundation for a higher view of existence. This takes on one of the deepest and most consequential challenges: confronting the lie that matter can explain itself." OBJECTIONS AND RESPONSES βΊ"Natural laws explain atoms." Laws describe behavior once atoms exist. Laws don't cause matter or the order they govern. βΊ"Atoms aren't machines." Atoms fit the definition of machines: they are coordinated, energy-using systems that perform specific tasks according to precise rules. βΊ"Chance processes or quantum fluctuations produce atoms." Random fluctuations can only rearrange existing components under pre-existing laws. They cannot explain the origin of matter and those laws. βΊ"Evolutionary processes apply to atoms." Evolution requires replication and selection. Atoms do neither; they simply exist as stable, specified entities. βΊ"This is an argument from ignorance." On the contrary, it's an argument from experience. Every functioning machine we know comes from intelligence. Given their machine-like properties, atoms are most reasonably explained in the same way. βΊ"The who or what the creative intelligence is, is not identified." That unavoidable mystery doesn't change the logical conclusion of an intelligent cause. Moreover, just as atoms are incomprehensibly complex, so too must be their Creator. As finite beings, we cannot know the infinite or the incomprehensible. We must be content with that rather than veering off into speculative faith-based beliefs--the underlying cause of wrong thinking in the first place. We often think of atoms and molecules as tiny, passive building blocks. But in reality, they behave like machines and motors. That's not poetic metaphor. It's scientific fact. Atoms and molecules fit all the qualities of machines and motors--conversion of energy, dynamic movements, integrated moving parts, combining with precision, and performing work. ATOM MACHINES Atoms move, rotate, vibrate, and translate in controlled and predictable ways. This movement is not random chaos-it's structured, purposeful behavior driven by energy conversion. Within atoms, electrons orbit, quanta vibrate, and subatomic particles interact through finely tuned forces-electromagnetic, strong nuclear, weak nuclear. These parts do not aimlessly move. They're precise and structured, making life, chemistry, and all man-made machines and structures that utilize atoms possible. What's more, above and beyond any man-made machine, atoms are autonomous, need no repair, feed on internal and external energy sources, and are more like perpetual motion machines than anything humans have ever created. BIOLOGICAL MOTORS AT THE MOLECULAR SCALE Molecules--precise combinations of atoms-- take this even further. In living systems, molecular machines are everywhere: ATP Synthase works like a microscopic turbine, spinning to convert a proton gradient into ATP-the energy currency of life. Kinesin and Dynein are motor proteins that "walk" along microtubule tracks inside cells, carrying cargo. They burn ATP fuel, just like engines burn gasoline. DNA Polymerases read and copy genetic code with the precision of a robotic arm on an assembly line. Ribosomes build proteins in a process so orderly, it mirrors a factory. All of these machines, and countless others that make life possible, require energy conversion, mechanical motion, and coordinated parts-defining traits of machines. Using life's molecular machines as models, scientists like Nobel laureate Bernard Feringa have created molecular machines-tiny rotors and walkers powered by light or chemical reactions. SO WHAT DOES THIS TELL US? If people with high intellect win Nobel Prizes for creating molecular motors (copying the molecular motors in life), the molecular motors found throughout living organisms would have required high intellect as well. If something looks and acts like a machine-precise integrated parts, converting energy, performing work, and following ordered steps-we call it a machine. So why stop short when it comes to atoms and molecules? They, like all man-made machines, aren't accidental. They're functional, purpose-driven, and mechanically intelligent at their core. And what machine can possibly exist without a mind behind it? LOGICAL SYLLOGISM:
Caveat: That intelligent cause is more incomprehensible than the incomprehensible details of us and our reality. That mind is not represented by man-made simplistic religions and their simplistic anthropomorphized gods.
PART 6 | TIMING
Religious and scientific teachings we've been given since childhood are thought to offer definitive answers. This conditioning forms deep-rooted beliefs that shape our adult thinking-or prevent us from thinking critically at all. Without others telling us what to believe, our minds wouldn't be blank, they'd be free to think. Real-world evidence and reason can replace belief with knowing and understanding--the only thing that can give our mind true comfort. Reason and evidence reveal that belief trains the mind to obey. In contrast, understanding fosters wisdom, independence, and a path toward a better world. Our common sense, reason, and intuition are smothered by the assumption that important questions can only be answered by erudite scholars and Nobel Prize scientists. To help break that illusion, we need to touch on some "sciency" things. Doing this will demonstrate that even that realm leads to what we already can know by just thinking. LOOKING INSIDE MATTER Atoms and molecules underlying all physical matter are rightly called machines. They fit the definition: "an apparatus consisting of interrelated parts with separate functions, used in the performance of some kind of work" (Dictionary.com) This machinery is hard to fully grasp because we're accustomed to images and tidy diagrams showing static parts in fixed models. This gives the misleading impression that nothing is moving. The reality of an atom machine, shown in the photo below, is a blurring cloud of machine energy and motion where the parts within atoms are moving so fast that their positions and paths cannot be pinpointed. Like atoms, living cells are illustrated in still-life diagrams. Cells are anything but still. They are filled with speeding nanomachinery and interlocking functions. APPLYING LOGIC TO THE ORIGIN OF MACHINERY Current mainstream explanations suggest that atom machines originated from a Big Bang and that life emerged through natural processes like abiogenesis and evolution. Most religions teach that a deity is responsible. On the other hand, a logical syllogism taking into account that nature is replete with machines, reveals this:
This logic and its conclusion are overlooked in mainstream scientific and religious discussions and literature. Alternative logical syllogisms seem to be missing. Although we would like more detail on what the intelligent cause is, another logical barrier stands in the way: Since a complete understanding of the physical world, including infinity, escapes us, so too must an understanding of its intelligent cause escape us. In other words, we can come to know a lot, but we don't get to know everything. Wisdom is knowing what we can't know. TIMING Just answering the question of the cause of nature's machinery does not end the mystery. All that machinery is moving, timed, and coordinated with countless other machines. This requires ongoing and sustained orchestration. To get a feel for this perplexing problem, consider that atoms are dynamos that seem to be perpetual motion machines. (Nobody has ever found a dead one.) Atoms combine to form molecular machines that are intertwined with countless others. Everything is on the move, and not independently. It all must be timed, regulated, and coordinated. Here's a glimpse of a minuscule part of the coordinated chemical complexity going on in our bodies, second by second. But, again, such schematics do not do justice to the blinding speed going on. Even in sophisticated fields like quantum physics and developmental biology, the when, how often, starts, stops, and speed of things underneath physical and living matter remain a black box. Rather than explanations, the precision and timing of everything are taken for granted. What triggers it all and how it's timed across trillions of cells, tissues, and organs just seems to be beyond even investigation. If life were a product of chance and random mutations, how did it achieve such unimaginable precision-without even a known timing mechanism? To help grasp what is going on underneath. Watch these flocking birds flying at 50 mph and can number over a million. Yet they swarm perfectly with no collisions. They appear to be one organism orchestrated by one mind. This flocking, amazing as it is, only hints at the complexity, speed, and coordination that occurs inside matter and organisms. NATURAL LAWS Laws in nature, such as those of motion, chemistry, electricity, gases, magnetism, thermodynamics, etc. govern most of what matter can and cannot do. But there is no timing and coordination law. Not only that, the second law of thermodynamics demands a continual increase in entropy in the universe--increased disorder. This would work against the continuance of the perfect order, timing, synchrony, and coordination of the machinery within matter. It would also likely prevent its spontaneous appearance in the first place. THE PERSISTENT BLACK BOX No unified timing system has been found--no equivalent of a master clock, CPU, or command center. All that is found are descriptions of parts, feedback loops, structures, and chemical gradients-none of which explain timing or synchronization. The "mechanisms" that are invoked are little more than metaphors-like genes being "turned on" or systems being "self-organized." Nothing is known about who or what is doing the organizing and switching on and off. There isn't even any research investigating it. That, even though if timing is lost, all physical and biological systems crash. THE LOGICAL ANSWER
This conclusion, using just common sense, is the same place that Max Planck, the founder of quantum physics, ended up: "... mind is the matrix of all matter." WHY THE CONTROLLER OF IT ALL DOESN'T MAKE EVERYTHING NICE FOR US It seems that if ongoing creative intelligence is necessary to control matter, the controller would not allow natural disasters, disease, and death. However, this objection doesn't disprove intelligent control; it merely questions why the world isn't nicer by human standards. Earth requires cycles of destruction, decay, renewal, birth, and death to sustain itself. Just as all sunny days create a desert, a world without destructive cycles and death results in an unlivable world. THE TAKEAWAY FROM THIS THINKING JOURNEY Knowing that we are created beings and that mind is interacting with our entire reality moment by moment is profound. But even more important is how we can come to that realization. Replacing belief with knowing by using reason and evidence opens the whole world to critical scrutiny. It also helps us realize there is no need to seek a religious or secular organization or leader. We are given the tools within to independently negotiate life: free will, reason, and conscience. Relying on those inherent gifts, rather than given beliefs, is the key to the discovery of what is real and good for ourselves, for others, and for the world.
PART 7 | LIVING ATOMS
ATOMS ARE ALIVE We are taught that atoms are lifeless specks, debris of a Big Bang mechanical universe coming into existence from nothing. But science has revealed that atoms are self-regulating, complex machines with inner parts that serve persistent cohesive functions. They have been found to have all the classical features of what defines life. ATOMS COULD SAY:
OBJECTIONS ANSWERED βΊAtoms don't move like living things do. But they certainly do when they are gases. Moreover, most plants, as well as fungi, coral, sponges, barnacles, lichen, and sea squirts are alive, but don't move. βΊAtoms don't reproduce like living things do. But there are mules, ligers, tigons, banana plants, seedless fruits, ants, bees, and termites that don't reproduce, yet they are alive. βΊAtoms don't have free will. But neither to plants, yet they are alive. MORE LIFE-ATOM SIMILARITIES Like living cells, atoms have parts that coordinate, hold structure, and resist destruction. Atoms aren't passive. They bond, share electrons, repel, attract, and arrange into patterns that become all forms of matter, including molecules, proteins, tissues, organs, and organisms. Atoms do all this while retaining their unique character, until willingly altered in service of something greater--like a molecule, organ, human, statue, automobile, nuclear reactor ... and everything else in physical existence. ATOMS AND HUMANS ARE IMMORTAL Atomic and cellular foundations are not chaos. They exhibit cohesion, structure, logic, relationships, and enduring purpose. As with all machines, atoms and cells are intelligence in motion. Atoms are not only complex functional machines, like living organisms, but perpetual motion machines driven by an underlying intelligent energy. As far as is known, atoms do not die. Humans are also complex functional machines driven by an underlying intelligent energy. Death brings disassembly of the body into immortal atoms. However, that does not end things. Our self, the I that knows us as the unique individual we are, the thing responsible for passing to our brain the thousands of thoughts we have each hour, does not die. Proof of this can be found online at sources such as these:
CONSENSUS BELIEFS STAND IN THE WAY OF THE OBVIOUS For the most part, popular and scientific belief is that atoms are mere carriers of plus and negative charges that can be utilized in chemistry, physics, and industry. Living atoms and other living things are believed to be the product of mindless chaos created from a Big Bang of nothing. What's missing in that belief is the recognition that atoms and living things are machines, and all machines are intelligence in motion. INTELLIGENCE LIES BEHIND EVERYTHING Intelligence is imbued within and responsible for the existence of everything, physical and biological. Even Max Planck, the father of modern quantum physics, broke from the materialist belief fold and admitted: "I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness." "All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force... We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter." WHY IT'S IMPORTANT The cure for man's relentless sickness of beliefs is to replace them with knowing and truth. With truth, all things are possible; with beliefs, we wander in darkness. Reason, our vehicle to truth, tells us all of reality, down to the atom and beyond, is alive, to one degree or another, because of mind. In a world wandering aimlessly under the belief that there is no meaning to existence, mind implies purpose and hope. With that, we can become better people and make a better world. (These conclusions are where reason and facts lead and have nothing to do with belief-ridden man-made religions and their gods.)
