Evolution, materialism, atheism, and religion are widely held beliefs. They are better termed faiths since nobody can prove the underlying premises (foundations) upon which they depend.  Ponder the following premises and see if you can prove any of them. You'll find it to be impossible and won't be alone. The greatest minds, the most erudite scholars, philosophers, and scientists are by your side in abject failure.
 
Proving even one of these would qualify for a million-dollar Nobel Prize. But no takers, not even an attempt since the prize began in 1895.
 
On the other hand, as this book demonstrates, there is clear proof, not faith, of a creative intelligence, a reality that extends beyond the material, and human consciousness that survives bodily death. They are the truths deserving of Nobel prizes.
 
Essential Premises for Evolution, Materialism, and Atheism

1. Matter and energy account for all aspects of our reality and experiences.
2. Matter, energy, and scientific laws can come to be from nothing.
3. Functional Information on the scale found in even the simplest living organism can arise spontaneously absent intelligence.
4. Every minute aspect of every living creature arose spontaneously through known, incremental, atomic, and molecular steps, each increment being more beneficial to survival than its predecessor.
5. Over time, all populations become more functionally complex, rather than degrading in form and function.
6. Free will and self-awareness can be traced to the properties of atoms or molecules.
7. All the thoughts humans experience are initiated by the brain, and a specific neuronal and biochemical mechanism and structure can explain the origin and makeup of each thought.
8. There is something within the scope of scientific facts that would preclude paranormal and preternatural abilities and events.
9. All psychic abilities can be duplicated by mere guessing.
10. Human consciousness and self-awareness cease at death.

Essential Premises for Religion

1. A particular book is the literal word of the Creator of the universe and can be understood by everyone the same.
2. The Bible can be traced to its original manuscripts.
3. A human has the logical and ethical right to attribute a human created book to the Creator of the universe.
4. There is a book containing information that cannot be attributed to human authors and human capabilities.
5. There is book that claims to be authored by the Creator of the universe and is logical, consistent with itself and known fact, just, and ethical.
6. Ethics and actions beneficial to life cannot come from individuals using only reason and conscience.
7. Man-made religions have a history demonstrating they have not impeded human enlightenment nor caused suffering and death.
8. People following the lessons and commands of the Bible would not kill unbelievers, stone disobedient children, and all the other horrendous acts outlined in chapter 28.
9. Jesus—claimed to be the same as and/or one with the Bible god—cannot be held responsible for all the horrendous, unjust, and unethical acts and commands of the god of the Old Testament.
10. Faith, as opposed to reason guided by evidence, is the best path to truth and the best means for guiding humanity to health and happiness.
