We are told that beyond our atmosphere there is a void, a vacuum between us and other planets, stars, comets, asteroids, and such.
 
There is no oxygen or air pressure there that could keep us alive. Thus, the need for oxygen masks, space suits, and shielding from the hostile environment.

​This lack of air and wind resistance is the reason spaceships are said to travel at astounding speeds.
 
Anyway, that's the approved and almost universally accepted story.
 
 
COMMON SENSE
If a balloon is filled with gas and the nozzle opened, the gas escapes. The gas in the balloon is compressed and at a higher pressure than the air around it and that's why it escapes.
 
So, we could logically conclude that the gases in the atmosphere (high pressure) must escape into the vacuum of space (no pressure).

​NATURAL LAWS
Natural laws scientifically confirm common sense.
 
► The Second Law of Thermodynamics
This law, as applied to gases, demands that the higher order and energy of a gas under pressure will equalize with the lower order, energy, and pressure surrounding it. (source) That's why it's not smart to punch a hole in a pressurized high-flying aircraft. (Think of the movies with holes in airplanes vacuuming people out to their doom.)
 
The second law is consistent with other scientific findings including Maxwell's kinetics, Carnot cycle, Clausius inequality, and the Gibbs entropy equation. (source)
 
The validity of the second law is so certain that the famous astrophysicist, Arthur Eddington, wrote, "if your theory is found to be against the second law of thermodynamics I can give you no hope; there is nothing for it but to collapse in deepest humiliation." (source)

​Therefore, the Second Law demands that the atmosphere of Earth must escape into the vacuum of space. Not a single atom or molecule of gas can escape a vacuum.
 
► Boyle's law governs the volume and pressure of gases in a container. The pressure of a given amount of gas increases as its volume decreases; pressure decreases as the volume increases.
 
This means the Earth's atmosphere in the volume of infinite space would have no pressure at all since the gas would be dispersed infinitely.
 
 
EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE
Earth's atmosphere is made of gases. These gases exert pressure measured by a barometer. if, as the space doctrine demands, there is a vacuum outside of our atmosphere it would suck away our atmosphere and there would be no atmospheric pressure-- and no us.
 
The fact that our atmosphere remains means either there is no vacuum of space or the Earth's atmosphere is contained within a Boyle's law container.
 
Gas pressure can only be measured if in a container. (source) "The pressure of a gas is the force that the gas exerts on the walls of its container." (source) Gas volume can only occur in a container. (source)(source)

The fact that there is even such a thing as atmospheric pressure, which everyone must admit to, means that there must be a container enclosing it.

IMPLICATIONS
Neither a vacuum next to our atmosphere nor a container holding Earth's atmosphere in fits the big bang spinning ball infinite space story.
 
1. If there is no vacuum in space and it is filled with air:
- Air resistance there would mean there can be no space travel at umpteen mph.
- The entire spinning and orbiting solar system, galaxy, and universe model that depends on no air drag would fall apart.
 
2. If there is a vacuum in space and Earth is in a container:
- Rockets could not have thrust nor turn since they need air to push against according to Newtons's Third Law

​- Punching holes in the wall of Earth's container with spaceships would cause the escape of our atmosphere and collapse of the container -- and us.
- Machines and electronics in a vacuum would fail.
- The gas planets would not be possible, ruling out Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
- Humans could not survive the vacuum of space even with space suits, as shown in this NASA test failure.

- The Earth's atmosphere could not have formed in the first place nor could gas planets have formed after a big bang.
 
 
GRAVITY IS NO EXPLANATION
Gravity is used by big bang spinning ball infinite universe apologists to explain impossibilities with their story.

​Hypothetical gravity is used as a talisman to hold the atmosphere to earth. But that does not fit the facts. For one, gravity is the weakest of the natural forces. (source)
 
Moreover, gases move freely in all directions without regard to gravity. (source) Fill a jar with gas, open the lid and the gas disperses upwards against gravity to seek equilibrium with the gas pressure in the room. (source)
 
Proven natural laws such as the second law of thermodynamics and Boyle's laws are not negated by gravity. When in doubt, choose common sense and proven natural laws over hypothetical explanations.
 
If gravity was the reason the atmosphere does not escape into space, then all the air would be compressed to Earth. Instead, there are heavy gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide said to be 6000 miles above the surface and lighter gases such as hydrogen and helium lower. (source)
 
The gradation from thick air to thin air with altitude is due to several factors. The atmosphere is a column of mass just like water is in the ocean. The higher the column, the more force is exerted down making the water or air squeeze at the bottom into greater density.
 
Also, weather patterns circulate less dense heated air up and more dense colder air down. Water molecules in the upper atmosphere can also displace the denser oxygen and nitrogen molecules forcing them down.
 
The evidence points to relative density, buoyancy, and electromagnetic forces (far more powerful than gravity) as more tenable explanations for the layering of the atmosphere and why things pull to Earth.

Gravity is like God to big bang, spinning ball, infinite universe cosmologists. It supposedly holds quadrillions of tons of celestial balls all over the universe in their positions while they travel about one another at millions of miles per hour. Why that cannot be true will be covered in a future newsletter.
 
But for now, if in doubt that the hypothetical force of gravity cannot hold the atmosphere's gases to Earth while the vacuum of space exists next to it, do this experiment.
 
Put a drinking staw in a glass of water. Suck the water in the straw vertically up the straw. The vacuum you create with your lungs is about 7 psi, half of atmospheric pressure. That is nowhere near the vacuum created by space. (Torr is a measure of pressure related to vacuum. The atmosphere is 760 Torr. Space is 0.00000000000000001 Torr.)
 
So if your lungs can pull a liquid that is heavier than air vertically against the supposed force of gravity, certainly the vacuum of space would be able to suck the gases in our atmosphere away from the supposed gravitational force holding them to Earth.

​THE TAKEAWAY
If there is a vacuum in space there could be no atmosphere on Earth and life would not exist here. But it does.
 
If there is a barrier locking the atmosphere in from the vacuum of space, space ships penetrating it would deflate the atmosphere making life not possible.
