The prevailing beliefs about where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going are wrong.

Institutional religions promote faith, but any nonsense can be propped up by that. Moreover, all religions are human-made and suffer the same vagaries as their inventors. Thus, their anthropomorphized gods authoring human holy books show their true origin when they command the stoning to death of disobedient children, the slaughtering of unbelievers, the killing of enemy nation's first-born, and so on as typified in the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Although many justify religion as being the source of goodness, not one ethical principle is derived from it that isn't present in one's conscience.
 
Aware of these flaws, many see materialistic evolution as the only alternative. However, this philosophy totally fails the tests of reason and actual science based on natural law.
 
For example, the Law of Biogenesis states that life can only come from preexisting life. The law has never been proven wrong. It's just ignored when evolutionists claim that life originally emerged from nonlife.
​
The Second Law of Thermodynamics simply stated is, things unattended get messy, not more ordered. Materialistic evolutionists provide no proof whatsoever that atoms can spontaneously increase functional complexity (decrease entropy) on a scale even hinting at that found in the universe and life. Vast time doesn't solve the problem time's arrow is thermodynamically downhill, toward higher entropic (more disordered) states.

​The discovery of DNA proves that life is replete with information (150 Zettabytes [10^21] in a human body) that cannot be accounted for by materialistic evolution. Chance cannot account for the prodigious information in living organisms, any more than it can account for a book or blueprint.
 
What's more, the Laws of Chemistry, preclude the spontaneous assemblage of the viable biochemicals necessary for life. That's the reason scientists have never observed life arising spontaneously, nor have they, using all the brain power accumulated over the eons been able to do it in the lab minus living starting materials.

Mutations are random changes to highly ordered, information carrying, genetic material and thus cause devolution and diseases, like cancer, not evolution. Natural selection, the Darwinian partner to evolution, creates nothing, it simply culls the unfit, such as those suffering mutations.
 
Although nature is filled with variety and adaptations, biological pressure is always toward the parent stock. Dogs stay dogs, humans stay humans. The fossil record proves that creatures alive today look essentially identical to their fossils dated billions of years old.
 
Machines have never been found that could arise spontaneously. Living organisms comprised of organs, cells, organelles, and biochemicals are machines, within machines, within machines. Something other than evolution must account for them.
 
Life manifests free will and consciousness which cannot be reduced to the properties of matter because matter is rigidly obedient to natural laws. Scientifically controlled studies of psi phenomena, near death experiences, out of body experiences, past life regression, medium communications with the dead, children's stories of past lives, and quantum reality prove that consciousness lies outside matter.
 
Although the word evolution seeds writings and commentary everywhere, students are taught it as biological holy grail, and university departments are named after it, proof on its behalf is totally absent. Atom-to-man evolution is a hypothesis (guess) supported by hypotheses (guesses). Science is observation, but never has life been observed to spontaneously appear from atoms in nature or in a laboratory. Never have organisms been observed to transmutate into new, more functionally complex creatures that will not regress to the parent syngameon stock. Never have step-by-step biochemical details been elucidated for the evolution of any feature in any living organism. Thus, materialistic evolution is faith-based, just like religions.

​Finally, never, in spite of all the hoopla and intelligentsia backing, has the evolution concept ever resulted in one discovery or contributed one salutary benefit to humankind. Its might-makes-right philosophical underpinning, as with religion, has, however, contributed to immeasurable harm.
 
That's because it, as well as human-made religions, are not true. And truth is our only hope.
